Bellwoods has it currently for $20.00

Before this is over, someone is going to be selling it with a $2.50 markup.

Mind you, even though the price is great, it'd be a pretty expensive beer to hoard. Plus someone would be left with 12 glasses!
I plan on getting several gift packs as this is the ultimate gift for co-workers, business associates, friends, and relatives. Some just a bottle or two others a the whole 6 pack. I'm not too worried about having extra glasses.

Of course I'll have to get some for myself too.

Even at the relatively low price of $13 it is not twice as good as Rochefort 10 which I can get from Peter in decent quantities. Though Westy 12 has that licorice taste I like so much.

It's not always a case of profit anxiety. Some bars actually want the caché of providing a rare beer at less markup - so people can enjoy it.
Plus people tend to buy other beer and food and tip servers, so any draw is good business.

Yah some eBay prices are just as high.
True. I recall ordering a pack from an ebay seller in Belgium. She was a new seller and wanted to establish herself so she offered some of the lowest prices available on ebay. Unfortunately, her inexperience in shipping the stuff was enough to get my package seized and discarded  by customs. At least the BelgianShop has a pretty good track record of getting their stuff through customs and if I recall the shipping is extremely quick. But their prices are something else.

some bad news. From Horizon:
I received word yesterday from LCBO that Westvleteren will be delayed 4-6 weeks due to reasons beyond Horizon Beers control. You may also have noticed that we removed the LCBO order confirmation from our website, this was removed based on LCBO’s request as they have been receiving over 200 inquiries by phone and email.

We at Horizon Beers are working with the LCBO in hopes of having Westvleteren released earlier to the market, I will continue to provide updates once I know more.
so you want to speculate what the delay was? will this batch be rejected by the LCBO? labelling?

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Horizon simply jumped the gun on announcing when the beer would be available at the LCBO. I don't think they've dealt with the LCBO in the past - at least not on something as high profile as this - and they probably expected things to move along faster.

I already have my 6-pack from Alberta... guess we are a little more free-wheelin out here in the wild west.

By the way, I was surprised at how small the goblets are, but I actually kinda like them, make for great sampling glasses, but there is no way in hell you could pour a 12oz bottle into one.

Aren't they the standard .33l plus an extra centimetre or is it that they just appear small? I've never seen the glass in person, but from the pics it looks similar to a Chimay goblet in its overall shape, which is kind of short and stout.

The regular Westy glasses are. These are different glasses.
