Save a few miles, and just buy it here in Saskatchewan.

Best bitter special at the Granite. Wish Richmond Hill had something half this good on offer

Stopped in at Hopfenstark in Montreal today and picked up a case of mixed stuff. Great beer, great brewer!

whats the ABV for that?

I'm drinking the Burly Wine... I will admit I love this beer. It's nothing short of juicy... which normally isn't a descriptor of a barley wine. Supposedly 10.5%abv. I'm just not getting that strength.

had:

40 creek barrel select (Canadian whisky)
havana barrel proof (rum)
innis & gunn original

now having:
innis & gun winter beer

their winter beer (from the LCBO giftpack) i dont think is that good. I heard that the IPA last year was exceptional.

6%. It was excellent. I preferred it to the Netherworld, which are the only 2 Black IPAs I have tried.

Now I am drinking a Southern Tier IPA and remembering how, although this is a good beer, it is a little too sweet and malty for my liking. I prefer the hoppy IPAs.

I believe LCBO lab testing put the Burley wine at more like 8.5% this last private order which feels closer to what I think it is.

Black Scrapper is pretty tasty, not the best I've had but certainly on of the better ones in Canada.

Last night was:

Avery Mephistopholes
DFH World Wide Stout
Phillips Amensiac DIPA
Moylans Dragoon dry irish stout
Southern Tier Oat
St Bernardus Prior 8
and lots of homebrew

WWS is just lame, I don't get the love for it at all. Mephistopholes is so much better.

Nice, I had one last weekend. The first glass I poured was too cold, leaving the beer a bit underwhelming. I let it warm up a bit before pouring the second glass though, and really enjoyed it.

And the Piraat was quite good also.

How was that one?

EDIT:
Whoops, never mind...just read your RB review. Sounds intriguing.
