Beer'n'gin wrote:Imagine my surprise after checking drinkvine to find a case of St. Bernie at my next door LCBO. It couldn't be, there must be a mistake. Yep, it's "put aside" for someone.
I got in a little bit of an argument over the phone with the clerk about how cruel it is to post product on their inventory that is actually not available to consumers. He said it goes up because everything they receive goes into their inventory, it's not considered a special order and they can't flag the product as a hold for someone without leaving a trace online. I told him it should be fair game if it's on the site - he disagreed.
Could I get an employee to weigh in on this? I can't remember who it is who works there.
And...To the one that placed the order in Sudbury, if you didn't want the whole case, but had to for minimum purchase ordering, I'd take several bottles.
If that person could bring in a case, why can't you? Did you ask if you could do this as well? It would be difficult for them to say no after you know that they've just done it for someone else :)

There were craploads at the LCBO on Innis for those in the Ottawa area. I made sure I gave a few of the poor orphans a good home. :)

Seems to be totally gone in Toronto. Hoping a restock will happen soon, it hasn't been "discontinued", for now.

Monday LCBO's online stock said there was 10+ at the BO in Guelph, went in last night... all gone.

The BO's website doesnt yet say its discontinued so hopefully they will get more, especially since it sold so well.

there she goes, "product discontinued"

That lasted a little over a month. Didn't appear any stores got a re-stock.

My roommate tried to request a store transfer at Summerhill today and was denied. They're probably just too lazy to do it.

I don't think you can get anything transfered once the product has been listed as discontinued.
