I hope this isn't the full release; not a single bottle in Ottawa still? I know I'm not there right now but I always hate to see Ottawa left out from special releases when random small towns in southern Ontario can get them.
This is definitely not the whole release. My local store still has nothing listed in inventory but on Sunday they had the tag for the Hophead sitting on an empty shelf.

This is a happy, hoppy, day!!
Don't you think it is a little bit of an a-hole move to go and buy out the local LCBO stock on such a limited release and then brag about it? I know some people in Belleville (for those who didn't notice, BooBoo's location) who would have loved to get their hands on some.
Just a thought.

Good thing we have a trade forum.
Hey Bullzie, opinions are also like a-holes, everybody has one. The cases were there, I was there, I was prepared to buy. It's first come, first serve. I wasn't bragging, I was happy. I showed up at noon, so your friends had time if they wanted it. I don't feel bad about it in the least.

Correction to my last post. I showed up at 11:00, but certainly verify everything else I said.

Well I grabbed 3 of the 24 that hit Richmond Hill today, the guy could only find 1 of the 2 boxes though and couldn't find the Hopsinjoor at all.
Personally between homebrew and my cellar I doubt I'd get through a dozen bottles before they started to fade.
Sipping on one right now and finding it far more balanced than I expected, I'd say the Philips Amnesiac has more of a Hop forward nature.

Picked up the Hop head finally today down at Liberty Village. Took 4, left 4 -- firm believer in beer karma. Should be getting a few more from Thornhill in a couple days which'll bring my stock up to 10, hopefully i can keep it at only that. Wondering when the rest will start to show though, last time i checked (couple days ago) the system still listed the Gemeni and Kurmudgin as new items (not circulating).... hopefully next week they will see their ways into my hands

got some at the white oaks store and they had about 12 left at 8:00 tonight.
P.S. thanks to the a hole who bought both cases at masonville for making me waste gas going out to white oaks.

There is some "woe is me" going on regarding this beer. The "a hole" you mention apparently wanted two cases and bought two cases. So what? It's not his fault you drove. Perhaps calling first would have helped? The LCBO inventory position is not in real time, if that helps you for the future.

I picked up 6 bottles tonight at the only Mississauga store that showed it in inventory as of this morning. Looks like I was the first to buy any of their stash...

It's always better to call ahead of time. Especially for beers like this that hoarders have an absolute fit about, and have to rush out to get.

Yeah, i got over it. I knew there was a chance there would be none left but i was going to pick up other seasonals also. Plus, it's fun to poke the hornets nest isn't it

It's good to see you've moved on. Yes, it is fun to poke the hornets nest. Kicking it is also good! If you get a tattoo and play with fire, perhaps the beer will be yours.

This morning it appears that the release has hit all a number of new stores. There are also 212 bottles at the Summerhill Store for downtown BAs. Looks like there should be plenty to go around...

I hit the bayview village store on Tuesday afternoon and was told someone came in earlier in the day and bought two cases from the back room... Luckily they still had more, so I bought four bottles. Had one last night. Excellent balance if you ask me. Tons of hops, though not a hop bomb and excellent malt backbone. What a tree(t)..
