Asam-Bock? Yes!!

Too bad no Mahr's Weisse-Bock, though. Some Schlenkerla Urbock would have really warmed my heart.

Oh, and the entire fall release was in Collingwood this weekend, with feature display at the front of the store. No Keith's though. I'm so disappointed.

I've only listed my products Josh...don't know what else they have....also, I left one out and that's Adnams Strong Suffolk Bitter (SSB).

I am very pleased to hear about the Adnams SSB coming in. Will it come in a bottle or a can? I'd prefer it in a bottle, but I have only ever seen Adnams products sold in cans before (well aside from on tap).

Regardless, I am looking forward to getting hold of some. The Winter releases look very good to me. I wonder what else will be coming in.

Incidentally, have Broadside or Fisherman ever made it into Ontario? Are they even bottled/canned?

Thanks Peter for the Adnams Strong Suffolk. I had Adnams bitter on cask three years ago in England and look forward to trying another of thier fine ales. Is the LCBO going to release the Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout in thier Stout's and Porter release or am I going to have to buy many gift packs to get my favorite. Is Hook Norton Haymaker available for Consignment purchase?

Haymaker is one of Hook Norton's Summer seasonal brews, so even if it was brought in on consignment (which I am fairly certain it is not, though would be only too happy to be proved wrong) it would probably not be available by now anyway.

Oh and Scott, if you get the chance, you should try out the Adnams Broadside. I think that you would like it.

Adnams produces both SSB and Broadside in bottles for export...frankly, their new package and label are stunning...the bottle in very unique in shape and should attract a lot of attention...the stuff inside's pretty good too! As for Haymaker, there's a fair bit still kicking around but, once again, the LCBO Beers department has "delisted" it so you can't search it on the website...tell me where you are and I can find out the closest store that has stock...I picked up 2 cases on Friday at the store at Dundas and Mavis in Mississauga (leaving them with only 4 or 5 bottles). Haymaker is not and will not likely be available in Consignment...unfortunately, demand for UK beers in Consignment is low (because so many UK brews are released by the LCBO)....we only regularly carry Samuel Smith...coming soon are the Traquair House and Jacobite Ale from Scotland though...

forgot about the Smith Oatmeal question...yes, Oatmeal will be in the January Stouts and Porters release along with St. Peter's Old Style Porter and...keep your pants on....Victory Storm King Imperial Stout...currently rated as the #1 beer on http://www.beeradvocate.com ahead of Westvletern 12!!!!!

....nonetheless, please buy the Smith gift boxes as you're not likely to see the Nut Brown or Pale Ale at the LCBO anytime soon and you get a nice Smith pint glass in the process....

Sam Smith's Winter Warmer? Again? For the love of Christ, why? Is it that hard to rotate the selection within the same brewery? I honestly don't see why they would carry possibly the worst beer from SS 2 years in a row.

Peter I agree the LCBO does release quite a few English ales but why can't you reorder from the brewery? The Port Credit LCBO is my local but the only beer I buy there is your St. Peter's English Ale because they don't seem to carry the special releases(shame Port Credit LCBO). The Mavis and Dundas LCBO does sell the special releases and you buying 2 cases is good and possibly bad, first the good if they sell a lot of these type of beers they will most likely continue this practice and now the possibly bad. Are these two cases for your personal consumption or are they going to Smokeless Joe's?

Publican, we can re-order but there's very little demand so it's just not worthwhile...I can tell you right now that if I offered to bring in Haymaker I'd be harpressed to sell 10 cases so why bother? As for the Haymaker I picked up at Dundas and Mavis, one of my Consignment clients who is buying some of our Belgians is a big fan, doesn't have a car and asked me track down several cases for him. From what I have seen of sales stats, the seasonal selections are not flying off the shelves at this store. It was through the urging of a store employee that they got on the seasonal program and I hope that things pick up at this store as Mississauga has not been terribly fertile territory for premium beers.
