If it was I can guess which store!
TBS wasn't asking questions Monday but that probably changed, Walmart was.
Main St. Turn-around. this was on Tuesday.
Really, I was going to say Upper James and Fennel. I was there a week or so ago, walked in no line to get in , no line at cash, came out long lineup to get in!
I asked the LCBO employee today standing outside with her clipboard asking the questions, she told me it's a Hamilton Bylaw.

So, the LCBO is on strike.
For 'craft' beer drinkers, this would have been a more significant issue many years ago. But with so many breweries now, most with delivery options, it really doesn't matter too much as I see it. Even TBS carries craft beer now.

LOL, just noticed I have an email from Nickel Brook advising how I can stay stocked with their beer during the strike.
"We are committed to ensuring you can still enjoy our craft beers without interruption."

I made sure to pop in a couple of days ago to get a couple of bottles of wine and a bottle of that Lambiek Fabriek to try. But really, even the LCBO offers free shipping now, which is staying open during the strike. I wonder how much of an impact it will have on LCBO sales? Our beer view is one thing, but I bet people who go to buy import wine regularly will feel a lot more impacted by this.

Agree. I was thinking purely of the craft beer drinker.

Funny you should mention NB, but I also got the email and while this may not matter to others, Canadian spelling is important to me. They use American spelling in their emails and do not use sarsaparilla in their root beer.
It's also interesting to see how places are reacting to the strike. One producer in the province, that I would imagine has a particularly left-leaning clientele, had some pretty harsh words. I don't know much about how the industry works, but I think the next few days/weeks will be informative.

Been receiving emails from just about every brewery with friendly reminders to order!
I think this would be more disruptive to some more rural communities where purchase options are more limited, but as mentioned the shipping is still an option.
I'm sure everyone will get through this just fine

Good news! I think I have developed auto-brewery syndrome. Woo Hoo! Maybe Donald Ford will book me for a speaking tour around the province.

Yep. All it took was to agree to let the staff have a casual week. They all get to wear tank tops, shorts and flip fops...
