Yes those were a little TOO safe, they aren't that interesting to anyone I only imagine. Even if you were comparing General List experiments with seasonals..

I mean I'm with you, if we had a ST a porter that was as good as Sierra Nevada Porter or Rogue Mocha, that would be a great thing. A product like DFH India Brown is also a ground-breaker.

I found the ST 2XIPA a little too sweet and not enough hop bite. I'll still end up getting a bottle or two.

I'll definitely be purchasing a full case of Tree Hop Head in Feb though.

One thing I have found amazing is the way my locals blew thru the Halloween and Autumn listings. I mean this is Hamilton, no more:

Garrison
SA Octoberfest
All the pumpkin beers except the recently incoming Brooklyn Post
ST Choklat
Muskoka Harvest
Nasty Habit

and on and on.

One CSR told me their store sold at least 30 cases of GL Pumpkin. I guess this is a good thing but now I have to be quicker and no more "I will grab some this weekend"!

I was especially surprised at how quickly the Rigor Mortis and La Chouffe went at the Dundurn location. I believe I must have gone in the day after they got the Rigor Mortis but they only had one bottle left on the shelf and I had to ask them to bring out a second case - pretty sure that second case was gone in a day or two as well. Didn't even get any La Chouffe myself. Mind you they have plenty of both at other locations around town.

I also only managed to get two bottles of Garrison IIPA before having to look out of town for them. Never even saw the Harvest Ale :(

Going to have to be extra vigilant for this Winter release.

You bastards.

If you want I can PM you when the next round of goodies comes out. Like when Dundurn gets the Ola Dubh.

Thanks for the offer! I've recently discovered the site Drinkvine, so I'm in a much better position to get there on time from now on. Although if you have any inside scoops, I'd certainly be interested!

Hardly a scoop, but the new Centre Mall store opens Dec 3.

Sorry about that. I must have bought a couple of cases worth of Garrison while it was around, and I just cleaned out most of the Nasty Habit from Eastgate last weekend.

Drinkvine is a great resource, but I just wish I didn't have to drive all over the city to find my favourite brews. Unfortunately my local store doesn't carry many craft selections.

I find the only stores worth checking (no offense) are Eastgate, Rymal, Ancaster, Dundurn and Dundas. If you have a day off during the week or a morning, you can hit them all in no time, up the Red Hill across the Linc, piece of cake.

This is probably true in other cities but, you get a couple of stores that get a couple of cases of the new releases, you have a couple of days window and then they are gone.

For those who still might be interested in a bottle or two of St Pumking, we just moved 8 cases from a Kingston store to the Cooper St. store in Toronto, along with some 8 cases of Creme Brulee.

Cheers,
