Is it really worth that much? Prices on DFH beers in Alberta are a bit steep at the moment; Squall , Theobrama and Chateau Jihaeu (sp) are all priced at $24.99 to $26.99 a bottle.

So, stop yer bitching that the LCBO are expensive
It's good but it's NOT worth $37.00. Jesus. I paid less than $15 I think. Tasty stuff, but... wow.

Wow. I got a bottle in Buffalo back in August and I think it was $14 or $15.

For that price, I'd buy 4 bottles of the new Muskoka seasonal instead.

At least Albertans are getting some! They didn't even get any in South Carolina, which is my source for U.S. Craft brews.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Paid $19.99 for it at Coles, and then bought it for $9.99 the next day at Premier Gourmet. It was the second batch and the beginning of December. They had it on special as it was soon after the first episode of Brew Masters, which confused me cause I figured they would jack up the price.

Anyone know if there's a thread for splitting cases of brews (such as Dogfish) that aren't available in Ontario? I'd love to grab some 60 or 90 min IPA from someone travelling to the U.S if they didn't mind picking up some.

Can anyone advise if anything like that is happening on here?

Ugg, that stinks. What's the story? After getting about a dozen DFH products into Alberta in the last year, it's disapointing to think that'll be the end of it.

Edit: Ahhh, just read the thread on BA. Sunuhvabitch.

Seems the OP on BA was a little bit ahead of themselves.

Got this response from DFH on my Facebook page:

"Not pulling out, just sending limited amounts to CN for now. With current US demand we can't support export. As all our new fermenters come online in 2011, we may be able to get more beer up to Canada later this year."

The only thing I can suggest is getting to know a few people on here and hopefulyl someone will hook you up. It can get complicated and expensive though as most of us that do Buffalo beer runs get stuck paying duty on our haul.

I find that DFH is currently very scarce even in Buffalo. I was at Village Beer Merchant in mid Jan and all they had was some old burton baton, and My Antonia. The retailer didnt know if or when the distributor would be back. Last week my wife was at Wegmans and all they had was 3 6ers of 60min (bottled 2 weeks ago).

Back in Dec. we were at Premier Gourmet, I asked the guy if they had any 90min in the back, he said it should be arriving in an hour, 5 mins later the truck showed up with a few cases, bottled '2 days' earler. Delish.

+1, they only had a few 60s and a few Indian Brown's left at Premiere (about a month ago). And i cant find anything other than the Indian Brown at Wegman's.

I've been looking for the 90 for a while now.
