Just a side question. Does anyone else have the problem of Red Racer always exploding when you open the can? Even if they have been sitting in my fridge for days, they still explode and foam over when I open them...
I've never had that problem.
That's funny in a not-laughing-at-you sort of way. Some unfortunates on BarTowel seem to get ALL the exploding volcano beers, ALL the infection beers.

Question: do you own a Duvel tulip glass?
They can hold a LOT of foam. Open your beers right over / near this large piece of glassware, to catch the foam when you uncap instead of "all over the kitchen counter." LOL.

Ya I do, it recently became my primary glass. Any idea where I can buy a few more?

Ebay would be the easiest. There also is beerables.net and truebeer.com which don't seem to stock them at the moment. Any route would be expensive, hopefully the duvel gift pack will be back next year.

That crate must be made of bourbon barrel oak.

57% increase in price per bottle for a wooden crate? No thanks.

To be fair the crates are really cool. Plus at the brewery at least there is a $15 deposit on them.

Yet so perfect for crating bottles, I would imagine. Hence the name.

Just run o the mill pine, I'm afraid. They are pretty. And if I had a secret santa that I still hadn't gotten a gift for and the spending range was $75 I might consider it.

(Mind you, I'm betting these will sell. Although, I would have thought that the LCBO would have been a better place to sell them rather than TBS.)

+1. We need better beer and more variety on store shelves, not fancier, more expensive packaging.
