Hey guys

Heading to the Midwest for a week for work. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to shop, and which breweries to check out??

What I usually do is search retailers in a particular area on Beer Advocate. Then, I email the highest rated ones and ask them if they have ant limited releases coming and what sours or BA stouts they have or I'll ask about specific breweries.

You can find breweries using the same method. You should definitely hit up Perennial, 4 hands, and Side Project. You'll probably find a lot of Prairie and Boulevard.

If you're flying and want to bring back a crap load of beer but are over the baggage weight limit, you can always ship yourself a box or pay for a additional bag on the way back. You don't have to bring a second bag with on the way there. You can buy a cardboard box in STL and use that as your second bag. This way, you only pay second baggage fee one way.
