How did I not know about this?

Maybe I'll drive down for 2017.

Here's the first article, with an overview of some top bars & breweries in town, along with a bunch of events that have been announced. Looks like its going to be a great week as usual.

IIRC the 2017 edition is back in Washington DC.

Well, it's not too late for this year! :)

As the CBC has expanded its capacity they don't sell out anymore - if anywhere would have, it would have been Portland. I think hotels are hard to come by for next week though...

So I'll be in DC the same week as the Craft Brewers Conference. Anyone who has been to the conference... comments on how good/bad the situation will be for a non-industry guy like me at any of the big DC beer venues that week? In other words, will a place like Churchkey end up closed to the public one or more nights for industry events?

Just curious as to how this will affect my time in DC. Thanks!

Unlikely that places will be closed but they'll certainly be more crowded than usual. Last time CBC was in DC there were lines at quite a few beer bars that had reached capacity.

You probably won't find places closed to the public. They will be busy, however, as the bars in DC aren't very large. Last time the CBC was in DC most of the top beer places were pretty jammed. But it was a lot of fun with industry people everywhere.
