On Mt Pleasant (where The Longest Yard used to be).

Opened last week. Dropped in on my way home from work and was surprised at the tap selection (below). Nice addition to the area -- other than the Granite and the Wallace, this part of town has been a little thin.

---

Boshkung North Country
GLB Pompous Ass
Amsterdam 3 Speed
Amsterdam Sweetwater Squeeze
Waupoos Cider
GLB My Bitter Wife
Muskoka Detour
Steam Whistle
St Ambroise Cream
Durham Blak Katt
Left Field Eephus
MacKinnon Origin Hefe
Wellington SPA
Beau's Lug Tread
Oast House Barn Raiser
Henderson's Best
Durham Signature (Cask)

---

I saw something going in there. Good to know it looks promising.
Any idea on the food quality? Usual freezer to fryer fare, or something better?
Is it reasonably quiet (conversation friendly) or is it overrun with stupid TVs?

shall we play the "Which Taps Were Paid For by the Brewery" game?
anyone want to take any guesses?

The game might be "who is distributed by coldhaus". Fewer deliveries make bars happier I'm sure.

Dropped in for a pint yesterday.

Beer list is indeed good, including Durham ESB on Cask and guest taps, which I presume will rotate as the concept goes.
Staff were friendly and pretty knowledgeable about their beer, especially the owner. The atmosphere is nice and inviting, though not a dark pub (thankfully), it's exactly the kind of place to settle in for a few pints and actual conversation.

The menu looked like standard pub fare with a few twists. They mentioned they are keeping it simple as they ramp up and I totally support that. Ambition has made a mess of too many kitchens. In fact, the overall simplicity of the place is probably it's biggest strength.

Bonus, they have a nice patio too.

Went by for a couple of pints last night. Good selection, nice to see in this part of Toronto. Beer was tasting good.

FYI the last call on the patio was 9:45pm and the bar itself at 11:45pm. Not sure if the indoor hours are temporary but not a place to drop in too late.

Had lunch here yesterday. The food was very good. A bit pricey, but I think worth it.
