Lot 41 - Delta Marriott Pearson Airport

Post by Cass »

Pretty random one here, but I found myself at a work event staying at the Delta Marriott nearby to Pearson. I usually don't expect much from airport area hotel bars, but their lobby bar (called "Lot 41") had Rainhard, Beau's Juicy & Mill St Tankhouse on tap, amongst some others. Pleasantly surprising and nice to have some OK beer here, which is a rarity around the airport. If you ever find yourself around Pearson, this is probably one of the better spots!

It doesn’t take much, does it. Even having those three choices is so nice compared to only having the standard Molbatt options.

Yeah, that's exactly it. It's kind of amazing (but maybe it isn't) that even through the craft beer 'revolution' there are still so many places staunchly about corporate deals.

The place closest to my work, The Shakespeare Arms, was one of those places pretty much forever. They just recently got a single rotating tap of craft, which seems like it's ending up just alternating Great Lakes IPAs. Such a nice change.

I haven’t been into Shakeys for probably 15 years, despite living 5 mins away. I used to drink there a lot in my younger days, drinking my body weight in Moosehead.

It just changed hands, the place might be in for a bit of a makeover.
