I have a hazelnut brown ale fermenting right now, unfortunately I have no hazelnut extract (the recipe said to add at bottling). Does anyone know where some can be found in Toronto?

I would try an oriental health food shop!!!

Good luck and let me know if you find any, because I have always wanted to try a brew with hazelnut.

Actually, try a cake decorating or pastry shop for any extracts - they have lots.

I imagine that an answer two years after the first post may no longer have value, but if anyone else is looking, i think you can get Hazelnut extract from Starbucks. The one by Union Station actually sells the stuff that they use for flavor shots.

I'm interested in the recipe you were using for your hazelnut brown ale. How did it turn out? If good, can you post a link to it?

Thanks

E-mail paddock Wood. They have Hazelnut extract and chocolate essence that are hard to find. These are used in the microbrewery, so might not be listed yet in the catalogue

We already have a "Beer_Geek" on the site, there may be some confusion! Welcome though!
