If you had just one wish for an LCBO seasonal...

Post by iguenard »

Within reason, if you had one single beer you could have in as an LCBO/Beer Store seasonal, which one would it be?

For me, it would be a toss-up between Lee's Harvest Ale, Kupper's Kolsch and Leffe Radieuse.

Man...

Off the top of my head:

Summer: Beerworks Watermelon
Winter: Charles Well Banana Bread

Frivolous and fun. :D I haven't tried the Charles Wells one yet though.

For me, it'd be Tripel Karmeliet. I had that at Le Chapitre in Namur after trudging through a vicious rainstorm. It took the chill off quite nicely.

New Glarus Raspberry Tart (Summer)
Three Floyds Dark Lord Imperial Stout (Winter)

Westvleteren ABT 12 (any day of the year!)

I know the Three Floys is seasonal ... I just want the others.

More US Craft Beers in general, there is so much cool stuff going on south of the border, and we're getting a fraction of 1% of it... Shame...

Something that gives beer geeks the runs for not drinking enough of our great local stuff & for not getting more beer geeks into the market.

I would dearly like to try La Fringante, or Péche Mortel, or that Pannepot stuff.

They did a private order on Bièropholie for Pannepot...that's damn good stuff, I wouldn't have minded picking up a case for $110.

I think the key here is "can't get" - never a good idea to lash out at those already on your side. For instance, I will be making a special trip to Volo JUST to have a pint or two of the nutcracker early next week.
