New Pub In Port Credit

There is a new pub in Port Credit and it's called Ridgetown. It is a block east of Hwy 10 (Hurontario) and Lakeshore on the north side of the street. It is named after the Great Lakes freighter that sits in Port Credit harbour as a breakwater. The draught lineup is pretty standard but they do have Fuller's ESB and the food ranges from pub grub and Italian. There is a patio and for the coming cooler months there is a gas fireplace. The only thing that I don't like is the wide screen TV in the bar area. Having Fullers ESB on draught at a pub I can walk to is fantastic but I'm the only one drinking it, so if you work or live in the southern part of Mississauga you really should give this place a try.

I will stop by...I wish it was walking distance for me (not quite-walking there would be a trek but coming back with a belly full of beer would be torturous on the innards-thats what cabs are for though :D )

Stopped by the with the bride for lunch today...had the Fullers (reasonable at $6.10 per 20 ounce glass), very good! They also have Warsteiner on tap along with Caffreys, Creemore and then the usual standard beer fare on tap. Don't know about bottles.

Bright airy room, nice bar and patio. Also Hi-def televisions.

Lunch was tasty...coq au vin for me ($9) and turkey club with salad for her.

Right next door to the Port Credit LCBO.

We will definitely be back.

I haven't been in there myself but the last two or three places that have been in that location have not faired all that well (if it's where I think it is) so I would keep up the reviews and get as many people in there as you can so that it can stay afloat. It is a rather competitive market as far as pubs go in Port Credit but it is the only one East of 10 so it should do ok. After you have enjoyed a pint you should go next door to the Elmwood Meat Market. Ali always has great meats and cheeses and his wife makes an incredible sausage roll. (It's times like this that I miss living in Port Credit... Not all that far away but a 20-25 minute drive is a bit far to go for a pint when Volo is at the end of my street.)
