During my visits to Toronto, I've been to a number of Firkin pubs. Overall, they range from good to very good: they're comfortable; staff are hospitable and attentive; the food is a cut above typical pub grub; and most have NTN trivia, which I like to play.

This past weekend, however, I noticed a disturbing trend at the Firkin pubs I visited: Ontario microbrewed beers have all but disappeared. Creemore and Steam Whistle were available, and I like both, but beer from smaller breweries such as Kawartha Lakes and Wellington County was nowhere to be found.
