Wellington County Iron Duke

On a regular basis, I find myself not buying Wellington products.
Not because they are inferior products, and not because they aren't to my liking. They just happen to be beers I often overlook.
So I decided to re-sample the Iron Duke strong ale tonight.
It's an excellent sipping beer. The malts are chewy enough and the weight feels substantial (only 6.5%). You can detect the booze too, but it's pleasurable. I found this sample to be very fresh.
The flavours were heavily burnt malts, with some chocolate and some dark fruit with aromas to match.
I think I have found myself a new winter warmer.
