Yeah, the Woolly Bugger is a really impressive English Barleywine. One of the best I've had.

Tonight:

Amsterdam Boneshaker (my last bottle!)
Victory Prima Pils: easily the best pilsner I've had to date.

Liberty Ale in the bottle, at beer bistro. A full-flavoured APA, dry-hopped according to the label. Very fresh and an excellent aperitif, almost vermouth-like, with mineral and restrained malt notes.

It's interesting to ponder that (as far as I know), this is the first ale to feature Cascade hops prominently: Cascade was released for commercial use in 1972. There have probably been a few thousand APA and AIPA brands released since then, but I find they follow the original type (of which Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is one) quite closely in palate, or maybe it's just the taste that gets into those U.S. aroma hops no matter their lineage, terroir in a word.

Amsterdam Boneshaker followed by a Muskoka Kristallweizen. Not a fault to be found in either bottle.

@Kickoff in waterloo enjoying a stellar line up before they close for the long weekend:
Mad Tom
Smashbomb
Lake Effect.
All great but we both agree the Lake Effect is killing it tonight. Probably won't even get to try a pint of the Pugnacious or the Dead Elephant
