Malt extract in the london area

Went out this week looking for ingredients. Danny's had no liquid malt and about two pre-packaged dry malt extracts. Brewhaven had lots of pale malt extract and a whole 1 bag of dry malt extract. Anyone know of other places in the area that have a good extract selection, preferrably in bulk?? ($9 for 500g of dry malt kind of sucks) Even anything within reasonable driving distance would be ok. Are all homebrewers in London Just all Grain??
Thanks
Damian

Maybe try these guys?

http://www.mashingheads.com

I think they are new and mailorder only. Don't know much (well, anything) about them except that they appear to be London-based.

I think this company is run by one of the Glatt brothers. They used to have a micro brewery here in London. They had LCBO listings, and about 20 different beers. Shame they went out of business.

Glatt? Really?

Small world. My sister worked at Glatt.

This is before I got interested in "real" beer. I remember she brought home their barley wine and I said "what the hell is this?" Times have definitely changed.

Gedge; Thanks for the link, I may give them a try. After reading on the internet I may just have to break down and go all grain as it looks like it is easier to get. Do you homebrew?? Where do you get your ingredients?

Thanks,
Damian

I just started brewing. Got my first three batches of grain from Brewhaven in London, but I am in T.O., so I've recently used Sodacentre in Scarborough. I'm thinking of hitting Grains Process for a bulk bag of 2-row though.

Small world.

After the Glatt Brewery closed, one of the brothers went on to open an online brewery supply store....still does it to this day. So I suspect that is the one.
