Has anyone used the LME from homebrewersretail for 100% of the fermentables of any batch they have done? I need to get away from the DME I'm using and I'm wondering if this is a good option?

Or the Muntons Spray Malt DME from Mashing Heads?

Any extact brewers out there with any advice? Thanks.

Note that Muntons spray malt comes in a 500 g package. It appears that it is meant as an alternative to sugar when topping up the gravity of extract kits.

Another alternative for LME is to go to a local BOP to see whether they will sell you some. Preferably a busier location, so that there is a greater chance of fresher product due to higher turnover. Bring a container with you...

where were you getting your DME, were you buying pale/pils DME. the only LME ive ever used was from bootlegger. it fermented quite well.

I didn't think the Muntons DME fermented well...

I liked the liquid from:

But then I never did an all-extract batch. I'd probably add sugar as well... 10%?
