Turkey Fryer on sale at Bass Pro

Good deal on a Turkey Fryer, I'm going to get one as a second.

$49.94 with a 30qt. pot.

Looks like it has a timer, anyone know if you can remove the timer?

I called, and they have 274 in stock.. sale is on until Nov. 24th.

The site had a similar Bass Pro turkey fryer had a review that said it was on a 20 minute timer and you could purchase an override. I also want to know if it can just be removed with out an over ride. Looks like a stellar buy anyone else with any input on this one>?

I think I paid $55 for that a year ago, the timer is annoying, but I haven't yet got around to jury rigging it.

So I picked this up, and did the thermocouple/timer bypass mod, and it functions just like a regular burner. Great for 50 bucks! I might buy a second while it's still on sale.
