I've had Bill Pierce's "Golden Valley" (Silver Cat. 16). We tasted a back to back with Orval and it was spot on, perhaps I even liked it better than the real thing.

I've got laugh when this place isn't blocked but I get the following when I clicked on Derick's link

I don't think it would be a true competition unless someone submits some variation of either "Dick Inn Cider" or "Dicken's Cider"

Love it!
Thanks to everyone who entered the comp (353 entries is quite impressive), we had very good distribution from across Canada, and it was great to see so many different winners. The quality of the beers was outstanding too - lots of good beers didn't medal.
Scoresheets should be mailed out today. We boxed up all the prizes last night, they will be couriered out by Monday at the latest.
I hope all the medal winners send entries on to the NHC in San Diego (you will be emailed entry details from Janis Gross in a few weeks time).

ALES did an amazing job again!! All should applaud their work... they spend a LOT of time and effort organizing / judging and all logistic related matters too. Acquiring sponsors many months in advance. All their efforts really go unsung for the most part!! To the ALES guys... we salute your effort and raise a glass of our best homebrew in your name!!
