So....maybe someone will want to buy my (empty) 3L bottle of Double Bastard then?
Comes complete with padlock and keys....haha. Don't think I'll ever get a chance to refill it at Stone in California.

i guess it technically is on shelves with the LCBO :)

it's funny. had a bottle of the Grand Cru last night. was really unimpressed. and they do get worse with age.
so just a heads up to those who are buying a case. i'm pretty certain these bad boys do not have active yeast. they're likely best consumed within a year of bottling.
i don't think rodenbach does any bottle-conditioned beer. correct me if i'm wrong

The back shelves were you can't see them, just like in the old days Comrades! Get in line, fill out a form… Mother Ontario is watching your drinking habits...

Completely disagree. Stable as a Twinkie, in my experience.
Here's to the slow path.

tartness fades slightly. gets less complex. muted.
fresh, it has more of a soya sauce flavour to it and a hint of acetic acid.

I know taste is personal and subjective, but I've never, ever understood the soya sauce references.

I still have a bunch of bottles from the several cases that I bought the last time RGC showed up at the LCBO about a decade ago. They're still in fine form, imo.

not sure how i can debate flavour not fading with time if you don't pick up the soya sauce.
it's def there. incredibly pronounced on draught vs bottles
