Might end up going there for a few days.
Any thoughts? or is it to be Pumphouse?

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Moncton NB??
Go to the Laundromat on St George. They have a great bottle selection, for NB anyway. and usually a few regional taps. It is a bit of a hipster place (as far as Moncton hipsters go), but folks are great. Owner is a great dude who really wants to advance the cause of good beer.Ukie wrote:Sounds good.JerCraigs wrote:The Barnyard is run by Pumphouse as well and has good BBQ food.
Ever heard of a place called "Old Triangle Alehouse"? I believe it is just west of the Pumphouse on Main St.
Triangle is your typical corporate Irish place. Haven't been in awhile. They'll have all the big macro taps, and I'd assume a good chance of maybe Picaroons or Garrisson/Propeller.
An alternative to the Triangle is St James Gate. I prefer it to the Triangle, but to each their own. Same idea, probably almost all macro taps, maybe some of the big regional guys.
Pumphouse beer can be great, especially if they have a seasonal or one-off going. Food is ok. I personally don't like the atmosphere, but again to each their own.
For retail, the NBLC pretty much will have nothing but a few of the big regionals (Picaroons, and the NS guys).
If you're looking for non-beer tourist advice, drop me a PM. Always happy to help out a visitor to the motherland!

Guys, before starting new threads please do a search for existing threads on the same topic. You'll find a thread (below) that covers all of Atlantic Canada including New Brunswick;
http://www.bartowel.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=6184
It's always preferable to resurrect an old thread, no matter how old, than start a new one. If we keep all information about a given destination in one thread it makes it easier for everyone to reference.

I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.
