nice to see the Garrison coming in, and I did enjoy the Sam Adams last year. I have to admit though, I was massively unimpressed with Paulaner last year.

From what I understand, yes, that's their fall release to the LCBO.
Yum!

As well as
Waterloo Amber, a Märzen-style beer brewed with rye and whisky malts.
Pootz says it's Brick's best offering since they're now-retired Bock.

I'm hoping the Paulaner is the real amber marzen they sell at the fest grounds and not the light helles they sell to the schmucks as Oktoberfest beer. I was hoping Spaten Marzen would show up this year.

Does Paulaner still serve the Marzen at the fest? I've read that most of the brewers actually serve a Helles now.

I was at Oktoberfest in Munich in 2008. I went to tents from Paulaner, Augustiner, Lowenbrau, and Spaten. All were serving their "Oktoberfest beer", but non appeared to be the marzen style. They looked like a light coloured helles from a visual standpoint, but with a bigger, stronger, more malty taste than standard Helles...and the higher alc strength typical of the Oktoberfest style. I can't say I saw any beers on the Oktoberfest grounds that were the copper colour I associate with the Marzen style.
