Nicklebrook Headstock in 473ml cans...
While browsing though a new TAPs at Volo, I saw an add "Coming soon!" It was Nicklebrook Headstock IPA in cans. Don't know if they meant it at the LCBO...
Also, you all might know about this and I'm just late...
Also - had the RIS from them for the first time tonight - while not the "best", it certainly reminded me of the discussion re: Cameron and other breweries really "stepping up their game"...it was nice stuff on tap.

I was actually at Nickel Brook today and asked about the cans as well. Not available yet - their waiting for LCBO approval etc before they actually order the cans and begin canning. Until then headstock is available in bottles at the brewery.
I picked up some of their new Russian Imperial Stout "Bolshevik Bastard" that they bottled yesterday. At 8.5% is certainly qualifies as "imperial"

I love the Rhino, but one thing that they do that sticks in my craw is they have a tendency to mis-label abv on their draft list.
The RIS that I had last night was listed at 5.5...

On the plus side, their list was up to date, and even had a "next up" line...

I like to hear this! Thanks for mentioning the magazine, Jeff! I'm glad you saw the ad!JeffPorter wrote:While browsing though a new TAPs at Volo, I saw an add "Coming soon!" It was Nicklebrook Headstock IPA in cans. Don't know if they meant it at the LCBO...
It can't be Imperial if it's Bolshevik. That's an oxymoron. It's a Soviet Stout.Mr.X wrote:I was actually at Nickel Brook today and asked about the cans as well. Cheers for Nickel Brook, as they continue to innovate and push the boundaries of irrelevant historical references.

I just stopped by the brewery to grab a 6 of this and the Imperial Stout. John (I assume the owner - a very nice guy) showed me the "approved" can and says it should be in the LCBO in the near future. He also said that he is working on getting bombers of the Maple Porter in the LCBO (along with one other style that is escaping me right now).
More interestingly, he said that in the spring he will be converting what is now the connecting homebrew wine store in to an extension of Nickel Brook that will serve as a tasting room and he will be filling growlers. That is great news!

Doesn't ring a bell. I just looked through all of their different styles and nothing jumps out at me so perhaps I just didn't pay enough attention. I was so excited by the thought of growlers I guess...matt7215 wrote:all great news!TheSevenDuffs wrote:I just stopped by the brewery to grab a 6 of this and the Imperial Stout.
