Six Pints is right there. Also, Queen and Beaver is quite close. Beerbistro really isn't that far.

My wife and I had a snack and a beer at 3 Brewers last month before seeing Chris Isaak at Massey Hall last month. Nothing spectacular about the beer but you can't beat it for being close to Massey Hall.

Interesting enough the bar at Massey Hall has become quite the craft selection.

Good suggestions so far. And if you're feeling a bit divey, the Imperial Pub has a few craft options on tap.

Thanks for the suggestions. The only one I had thought of was Beerbistro,
which would be my preference, but I suspect my wife would prefer something closer to Massey.

Closer than a five minute walk?

LOL --- I should have looked more carefully at a map! We ended up parking at the indoor lot on the Esplanade at Church, eating and pinting at Cest What? and walking all of 10 minutes to Massey. Beerbistro would have been easy too, and Beer Academy was on the way up Victoria even closer to Massey; what a great part of the city---can't wait to return!

10 minute walk? :o

Actually it's a great part of town to bar hop a little. < The most common form of exercise on bartowel, apparently... (hey, I'm no athlete.)

Went last night to see Patrick Watson. I go to a lot of concerts, but for some reason, this was my first time at Massey Hall. Quite the spectacular place, with so much history. We ate at the Queen and Beaver (first time there too!)

I think in terms of overall sound, I prefer the new Koerner Hall (I saw him there when he started the tour a year ago) at the Royal Conservatory, but Massey Hall is pretty humbling.

Koerner Hall has the best sound in the city, no doubt about that. Massey Hall is a great venue but in terms of acoustics, it cannot compare.

Yeah - I love it when performers in Koerner Hall unplug their amps and perform with a single mic. It's a fantastic warm almost unbelievable sound.

Convenient thread. Seeing Nick Cave at Massey in March. Thanks for the suggestions.
