Is there some law in Ontario about abv levels for beer? I was surprised when I looked at the back of the bottle when I got home? Anyone no the story on this?

It's explained in this post:

Nothing to do with any laws about beer strength in Ontario. It's just not as strong as the brewery claims, so the LCBO label shows the correct strength.

This has happened a number of times before. I recall there being a really big difference on some bottles of Dogfish Head World Wide Stout that beerbistro got in on private order a few years ago.

AFAIK there's no laws governing beer strength. I believe if it's over 11.9% it's just taxed differently (more like a spirit). Utopias and Brewdog have been in the province before and they're crazy strong.
