When beer commercials were funny

Post by zane9 »

Before bikini-clad women, beach party scenes, and guys in bars dominated the beer ad world, the big brewers made some funny commercials.

Would the Carling Black Label have ever aired this side of the Pond?

Of all the John Smith's ads, they choose THAT ONE as the funniest?

Old Folks Home,

Burglars,

Birds & the Bees, This got banned a short while after airing.

Any girl in the World,

Top Bombing,

Ya barred, (Not Peter Kay)

I remember that one well. Funny how the ads are always more appealing than the product. Carling actually did some good ads back in the 80's & 90's.
