I do not have any notes from the 2011 vintage, but from my memory it was rich with dark fruits and slightly sweet, which was cut with some oak like bitterness and the slightest amount of acidity. But this years as im drinking it now is to be honest awful. Its peppery and bitter in the most astringent way. Almost no dark fruits or sweetness present. Am I crazy? Is this a bad bottle or do I not remember correctly.

Interesting. I actually only grabbed one 2012 bottle and simply put it away to save for a while.

I just re-read my review from 2011, and I would say you're sane. I got heaps of fruits, both dark and dried and tart berries, cola, some peppery spices, and a lot of rum/molasses sweetness. Also some vanilla oakyness. Maybe a bad bottle, hopefully not a bad batch.
