I was at the BeerBistro tonight to sample their food (after all the controversy) ... I went for Kimchee's recommendation of the Brune & Bacon Mussels...

Excellent, but there is no word for the bacon slivers that I found underneath the mussels. They were just too good. Truly one of the best things I have ever tasted. Paired with excellent frites, and a Fuller's ESB, it was great. You'll see me there whenever I have to catch a train.

My faith in the media remains unchanged, however... !

There's a positive review of beerbistro posted over at Chowhound by one of the regular contributors. See http://www.chowhound.com/canada/boards/ ... /5818.html

It's funny because there's enough things in this review that he could have written a really negative one, but simply chose not to. It does depend on whether you want the glass to be half full or half empty, doesn't it.
