Bier Markt - Mississauga

The Bier Markt beside Square One opened up yesterday. For anyone who knows the area, it is the old On The Curve location, right across from the Wal Mart parking garage.

Went for lunch today. Hadn't been to a Bier Markt in about 3 years and it has improved. Assume it is the same as the downtown and Sherway locations but there is a rotating Rogue tap (currently 7 Hop IPA), Central City Pale Ale on tap, and a rotating Quebec tap (currently a LTD Saison I believe). The most interesting thing was seeing that Yakima IPA is the fall seasonal for the Quebec tap.

Given that it is across the street from my office, I am sure I will have many lunches there. And with the desolate craft scene in Mississauga, this is a welcome addition.

Definitely a welcome addition to the Mississauga beer scene.

I still like WEST 50, but they don't have a bottled beer selection. And that leaves out some of the better Belgian brews.

And any place that has Red Racer and Petrus on tap --as Bier Markt does, among others, as well as a good bottle list -- is worth checking out.

FYI, there's a current Bier Markt beer list at http://www.thebiermarkt.com/assets/pdf/ ... NT+MTL.pdf

Was recently at a Bier Markt and I've always enjoyed them, likely because I really enjoyed Belgian beers.

My issue with them has always been overpriced food. The food is good, but I rarely go for a meal as I don't feel the value is great, so it's drinks only usually.
