I bought 6 and still have some in the fridge. I was mad when Liberty Ale was discontinued last year and didn't get the chance to stock up.

from the Central City FB, "I just checked with our sales team and there were some issues with our distributor. These issues are currently being resolved and the IPA will return as either a 4 or 6 pack. Additionally our Winter Ale will be part of the seasonal program. Other beers will follow in...

I brewed a hoppy pale ale Sunday, it was a rough day. Broke my hydrometer Got sprayed in the face with beer purging co2 from a keg Dumped a jar of yeast on my workbench Couldn't keep a boil going because of the cold wind Turns out the cold wasn't the problem, it was an empty propane tank Melted a si...

Thanks for that - this might be tricky explaining to my wife...I may have to "struggle" with a few more batches of good tasting beer that she likes, before I can convince her of kegs. And I did bottling the easy way: 750ml with swingtops...can't imagine doing 54 bottles with a capper!!! I...

Yes, 2 taps in the door, I didn't have a good picture of it. I also use a picnic tap inside the fridge when I have 3 on the go. I was really easy to install, just felt weird drilling holes in the door, once you start there's no turning back.

so...on a similar topic - how do I get into kegging so that it's relatively cost effective? Did you guys make your our keggerators out of fridges? Did you put in tap handles? Is it easy to do? Super expensive? I spent about $450 to get started, including the used fridge. Here is a good kit to start...

Re: bottling is a b*&%h!!!

...the only bottles I used were muskoka 750s and even then...I did have to clean and peel some of my bottles, but made me want to get into kegging. Although...those muskoka bottles with your home brew in em looks pretty cool! Getting the hop leaves out of my carboy wasn't nearly as hard as I though...

I had a bottle last night from the 8 that came in earlier. Not at all as hoppy as I remember, it had to be old stock.

Gluten Free beer

Has anyone done a gluten free brew? My girlfriend is giving gluten free living a try and it seems to be helping. Her weakness right now is the 5 gallon keg of porter I brewed for her. I've been looking into some simple recipes to start with using sorghum syrup, but was hoping to find a local supply ...

One great thing about homebrewing and having 3 different beers on tap is it makes it easy for guests to try something different. I like to pour a sampler glass, if they don't like it not much gets wasted. Was funny to hear the reaction to my IPA from someone who only drinks Mill St. Organic.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to stop in tomorrow. hopefully more comes in... Hopefully - given how fast those bottles went last year, and given that Tree is now a permanent fixture here now, the LC ordered more, and will more and wider distribution. 8 bottles is a weird number. I almo...

I brewed a wheat on the weekend. Pale malt and wheat with some orange and lemon zest (almost forgot to add it due to beer sampling). Almost used up the last of my homegrown cascade hops. My first time using wyeast 1010 American wheat, was slow to start then blew out the airlock last night.
