Just returned from Calgary. While there visited a small brwery in Revelstoke BC. Mt. Begbie. Of note their Alpine Amber I think is their best offering. They served up a dark wheat beer that was very interesting, not for the faint of heart however this is a solid full bodied wheat beer. Also visited ...

I like that Rogue stout as well. Funny thing I was in the local liquor store (brampton) and the guy tells me he had a whole case to get rid of, didn't sell he said. I took a couple off him but i already had a fridge full of St Amboise Oatmeal (that i stocked up on passing through Georgetown (of all ...

Mississauga is much the same as Brampton I believe (Brampton native). If you make it up this far north try Tracks brewpub (old downtown). The Old Mill Lager right now is excellent (they lighten it up a bit in the summer). As far as the Old Credit Brewery, Port Credit sometimes they make a Winter Ale ...

Shite beer, pick any bar in Brampton with exception of Tracks the Brewpub. If you are lucky you might find a pint of Guiness but he rest is usually Coors Light, Canadian, Rickards Red, Rickards Pale and Blue. Some pubs have some imports but usually wimpy examples of such. You guys downtown have it g...

Hey don't knock the Mike's booth at the festival. If it wasn't there I might be minus my DD for the trip home. If the weather is hot (it often is for this one in Aug) I think there is a greater tendency for overconsumption ahich can lead to the roudies acting up. You might try the beer festival in G...

I agree good beer is most important in my book, not necessarily beer selection. Ambiance, and food is secondary but a welcome surprise if above the average run of the mill pub fare. My favorite pub has only one decent beer on tap (their own excellent beer it's a brew pub)(although once they erred an...

Good topic. The content of my fridge varies considerably depending on my last excursion. At present i have laid in a supply of various beers from the Gold Crown Brewery in Waterloo. Not getting out there very often I stocked up on: 1. The Traditional Dark Ale (Once known as Friars) very dark and mal...
