Re: Bar Hop 2 (Peter St)
Yes, i was exagerrating slightly. Having said that, it's not a place i enjoy. The space and vibe are just not inviting. Loud and uncomfortable. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man.

Jaysus, 145, really? I didn't realize that. Would have guessed maybe 60. 145 things I don't particularly want to drink, and no cask.

Re: Bar Hop 2 (Peter St)
It's not a place I frequent or anything, but 40, based on a count from their website. How many does Craft have / what's your threshold?

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Having said that though, I don't hate the Waterloo-brewed version of Tuborg as a cheap lawnmower beer.

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Good god, if Landshark is your "craft" beer you are in pretty rough shape, IMO. I thought Blue Moon was Molson-Coors?

Mill Street Organic?
(Hop Valley is terrible, BTW, in my opinion).

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Pretty sure I had a few pints here and there if the other choices were Keith's, Stella, Bud and Bud Light. The AB InBev lineup really is awful. At least a Molson pub will have Guinness or Creemore, usually.

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Right, thanks. So why don't we see them in pubs any more? Or am I just not out and about enough?

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
Yeah, I feel like you used to see those goose-head tap handles in a fair number of places 10 or so years ago, inevitably being the IPA and the Honkers Ale, but far less so now for some reason. Did one of the majors have their distribution? Personally, I felt their core lineup was pretty meh, though ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
That's so funny. I basically did the same. Sounds like it was widespread. Why do you think that is (that we all did much the same thing)? COVID by-product? Are we all the same age, lol?

Re: The Beer Store Changes Pricing Displays
Yes, as I understand it convenience store pricing, Costco pricing, is pre tax and deposit, so TBS is obviously changing to make their prices directly comparable (and not sound "higher").

Re: Toby's Pub - College St.
Did they use the same (or a similarly inconsistent) yeast for their lager, too, whose name escapes me? I remember it as being all over the map, sometimes quite enjoyable in a muddled, "crafty" (i.e. not clean or highly attenuated) kind of way.
