Well, they asked for and received specific performance, so undoubtedly their intention is to use the space.
In any event, fantastic result for Bellwoods' counsel, who also was (or is?) a good Bar Toweller as some of you know.

True History Brewing
Recently had a chance to stop in here, briefly. I was impressed. Their focus is mostly on lagers, and the German Pils and Vienna were both very good. Well presented in an oversized glass with lots of room for foam. Top notch stuff. There is also a small food menu (I didn't partake) and a nice cosy s...

Re: Why don't brewery taprooms stay open late?
Could it be licensing? A true brewery tap sells only beer from its own brewery, no wine, liquor, other beer, etc. Presumably that is a different licence than a full-on pub or bar.

Although I haven't availed myself of it (don't buy in bulk any more), Amsterdam has been e-mailing with deals on 25 packs of cans.

A few over the years. Most recently (but before pandemic) sat next to Brian Burke at the bar of Amsterdam Barrel House on Laird, one afternoon. He was happy to engage in some conversation, though not about hockey. Talked a bit of baseball. Pretty sure they comped him his lunch, lol.

I believe I still have a TK or two at the very back of the cellar. They have long since gone "off" though, unfortunately.

I see they have a couple of specialty stouts coming out tomorrow for St. Paddy's too. They remain an under-appreciated treasure, IMO. Had a great birthday party there recently for about a dozen of us. Excellent service; excellent beer.

dealing with this market is a nightmare, thats why you dont see many widely distributed brands here In addition to missing Rouge, I miss Southern Tier too. That was a fun time. I miss doing the private orders. My favourite was ordering cases of Great Divide Titan and Hercules. Those beers blew me a...

Anyone 'member when they brought in some Dogfish Head 60? It was the greatest summer our lives... I think that may have been the first ‘beer frenzy’ in Ontario. Everyone running around searching for it and posting up on BT the locations they found…good times! This led to the frenzy of Westy 12, and...

Hmmm... got a different answer, when using the same website, when I asked the same question again. It was similar though. My buddy, who is a Prof of this stuff, says if you ask the same question twice, the second time it will seek to improve on the first answer. That is to say, don't expect answers...

Beau's Lug Tread 2.5 was sort of OK so long as you keep it nice and cold. Last tried in 2021.

I, again, mostly agree with tapsucker. But just to clarify, when I said I don't see the point of NA beer, mocktails or decaf coffee, I was speaking only for myself personally. No judgment here if others want to "indulge". Heck, I even have an NA beer or two and some decaf on hand for visit...

Re: Nova Scotia
I agree with the general sentiment but I'm not sure it really applies to Halifax. A vibrant and expanding beer scene that was largely untouched by COVID, certainly compared to Toronto and most of the rest of the country. Lots happening in that Agricola - Gottingen area of the city just to the north ...
