Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Pricesq

Of course prices can be raised. On seasonals it's a one shot so the price is the price...on permanent listings, we need to maintain the retail for 12 months and, after that, we can do what we wish. The LCBO does not establish prices...they are calculated to their formula but the producer/agent gives...

Trappists

Don't know why some of you felt the need to jump on me over this. The man asked for a valuation and I gave him an honest one notwithstanding it was for charity...it is what the beer was worth...that and no more. As in any charity auction, people are welcome to bid higher than the valuation but one s...

AUCTION

Since I sell all of them except for La Trappe and since I assume they are all 330ml, you could buy them from me for about $37 so that should be your base. Don't know where the other guys get their numbers but I'd be glad to sell to them at the values they are quoting.

Chimay Special Cent Cinquante

The LCBO has purchased a very small quantity (about 50 cases of 12) of this special Chimay release and we're waiting for it to arrive. It is a 10% version of their White or Tripel which is regularly 8%.

CHIMAY

Although it's been a few years since I visited Chimay, last time I was there I was taken to a local countryside restaurant (you could see cows and deer outside the window) and Chimay's Export Manager started inquiring about vintages (my French isn't great) so I though he was asking about wine. Turns...

ORVAL

The Orval is being "forced" to numerous stores in the province as stores are not required to order. Don't know what the situation is with Laird but this is standard practice for seasonal releases although Orval is kind of in between seasons as it arrived late. You should see it in a lot of...

NEW RELEASES

Hey, I sell that crappy Celtic stuff and it is one of the best-selling gift packs each year and, actually, a General Listing which should be available year round if we could get stores to stop de-listing it after Xmas. There will be no Westmalle in the near future but we pitching the Dubbel for Wint...
