Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out

Instead of starting a new thread for each brewery we hear in the news closing or otherwise that don't already have a thread dedicated to them, I thought I'd just start up a general one. MacLean’s Ales Closes Brewery & Moves Production to The Collingwood Brewery https://www.canadianbeernews.com/...

Re: Windsor-Essex County Beer Enthusiasts, Unite!

I managed to pop into 3 breweries while down south. Didn't stay for food or drink, just bought some beer to go. My thoughts: Cured Craft (Leamington) - Nice looking brewery and a decent patio (in better weather). All 4 beers I've had thus far have been bad to drain pour, unfortunately. My wife said ...

Re: Goose Island Bourbon County Stouts

I had the opposite reaction. Last years was meh, this year I thought it was fantastic. But I've been really into more subtle, well balanced stuff this year, as opposed to the flavour bombs of the past.

Re: Glasses

Pretty sure you can get 20oz nonics on Amazon under $10 a glass Last I looked they were closing in on $20, which puts them in my "I'm pretty sure gonna break them on first use" category. Same reason I don't buy expensive sunglasses. I'll keep checking there, though. Here's a set of...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

That's so funny. I basically did the same. Sounds like it was widespread. Why do you think that is (that we all did much the same thing)? COVID by-product? Are we all the same age, lol? While I think a Covid-cellar dive and our aging demographic on BT play a part, I think it's mainly just the evolu...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Nice to have this back... I think it's been several years since we've seen it. https://www.lcbo.com/en/cuvee-van-de-keizer-blauw-288696 I don't follow the Belgium beers too closely, but $12.95 for a 750 mL bottle strikes me as being quite a deal. I'm not huge into Belgium beers anymore, but I still...

Re: What's Your Favourite Ontario West Coast IPA?

Went to buy my annual Boneshaker for Halloween (gotta use that skull mug I have!) and was shocked to see it went up to $4.25/can. Oh wait... it's in a 568ml can!
Works out to a cheaper price per ounce, but I don't know if I was really looking for more ounces, lol
