Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

$229.00    Pretty sure it's well over 230 USD in the states though, so it's a (relative) deal getting it through the LCBO sure, and that's stupid too. Over a 55% increase in the last 8 years. Granted many Scotches have increased that much in the same time period, but that's laughable...

Re: Kilannan Kolsch

Yes, I have family up that way and this is true. Had a few cans from them recently, and I agree that they were pretty similar to what I remember from old Kilannan (I really liked the Alt back in the day). Of the ones I tried on this visit, I liked the NZ Red (resiny with lovely malt flavours, bone ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

I went to Caledon last night to see the Sam Roberts Band - free concert at "Caledon Day". Caledon Hills, Goodlot, and Sonnen Hill all had booths, two each actually with one one each side of the area which was convenient. What I found interesting is that Caledon Hills and Goodlot had line-...

Re: Liquery.com

I remember the caskhunter/drinkvine guy calling it quits, but not this site. Maybe I missed that. I liked this site because I could find out the inventory for an entire store, not just for beer (which lcbo.watch does) but for all their products. Don't think there's anything else out there that did t...

Re: Liquery.com

Wondering if this site has been down for a while, or just since the strike, since there isn't inventories on the lcbo.com page currently.

Anyone still use this and know?

Re: Godspeed 7th Anniversary Weekend

Websites are a lot harder to update than social media. Any employee can pretty mush post a facebook or instagram update, whereas a website might require a third party. As for "non-social media users" you don't need an Instagram account to read a post (unlike "X" now). I feel like...

Re: What's Your Favourite Ontario West Coast IPA?

Black Oak Ten Bitter Years. Was a big favourite of mine back in the day (way back). Is it even made any more? I've seen Twenty Bitter Years, a hazy IPA (yuck, lol). Ten Bitter Years was indeed great. It amuses me that this kind of stuff (I'm looking at you Mad Tom) was once such treasure to us, but...

"BrewDog accused her of “aggressive behaviour and use of inappropriate language” after she raised her concerns, according to documents seen by the Guardian. “This was not the case at all,” Myriam – not her real name – told Tribune magazine, which first reported the story. “All I said was ‘I can...

Cool, thanks. I think I'll check them out.
Sparrow
That's why I put "probably" in italics, as I've yet to go to Sparrow but have heard good things.

Re: Left Field Brewery

Both places were full, both around 10pm. I don't see LF being any different with or without the TFC game. It's a loud place and you can't have a conversation with people at your own table.

Re: Left Field Brewery

Went to the Liberty Village location after the TFC game last night. I cannot recommend this location, due purely to the noise levels (we were seated downstairs). It looks nice, the beers we good, the service was spot on, but I couldn't hear the people at my table and had a constant ringing in my ear...
