Re: LCBO Online Exclusives
Ordered a case of Solstice d'Ete and paid for shipping so we had it for the cottage this weekend. Box shows up wrapped in a bag with a Canada Post notice saying it's damaged. Two bottles broke. No big deal, but my god, the LCBO needs to step their packaging game up. They just took the 4 pk boxes and...

Re: Washington DC / Northern Virginia suburbs
Spent another week in DC and tried to hit some new spots. Brookland Pint - same ownership as Meridian and Smoke & Barrel. Very similar to Meridian in terms of taplist and food, just a different atmosphere (closer to like, Rustico). Good food deals at Happy Hour. I had lamb skewers and potato sal...

As well as Bank/Walkley. I picked up 4 bottles around 5pm and there was still another 10 or so on the shelf.rejtable wrote:KBS at Rideau in Ottawa today.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I'm not buying any of Beau's $8 bottles or whatever, but all the Farm Table releases have been quite good in my opinion. I have no issue with those beers cluttering the shelves.

Re: Ottawa and area help
How so? I skip the majority of their beers now simply because there's "too many", but they have some real gems like the Aromatherapy stuff, Saison Tropicale and Rye Guy cans, Angry Orchid was fantastic imo. I mean I get it, they'd likely get a bit lost in the mix if they were in Toronto, b...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I don't disagree, it's an issue that needs to be corrected, but I wouldn't avoid these specific Octopus cans. They're max two weeks old if you go by GLB's social media posts (which is unnecessary, I get it). The real issue will be 6 weeks from now if they roll out a fresher batch and it gets mixed i...

Re: Orlando
Was in Orlando a few weeks ago. I stayed close to downtown, but we ended up not spending much time in Orlando during the day. But, we did make it to our fair share of beer spots in the evening... Redlight Redlight - The highest rated place on Ratebeer...and the highest beer prices I might have ever ...

Really hope the grisette is good. That Farm Table Helles restored my faith in them a bit. It's quite good.

Beau's Oktoberfest 2015
For all the flak Beau's gets, this is always a great time. Bought tickets for Friday and was looking through the beer list - http://www.beausoktoberfest.ca/craft-haus/ Cigar City Brewing Tampa, FL, USA Hunaphu's • Imperial Stout • 11.0% Didn't think this would be the place I'd finally get to try Huna.

Re: Washington DC / Northern Virginia suburbs
The Old Town list now is the exact opposite of when I went there in terms of price/selection. $5-6 per 12oz is still a tad pricey for most of those beers, but a lot more on par with the rest of the area.
