Very impressive. If you didn't get Zwanze day tickets, this is definitely an awesome Plan B.

Because I love you guys, here's the list as complete as I have it now: Bellwoods Donkey Venom Brett Barrel Aged Porter Thanks for the preview. Please make sure the Donkey Venom keg is secured to something otherwise I may attempt to lash it to my bicycle and carry it home ;) Looks like a fun list. I...

This could be fun. I really enjoyed their brewery dinner they did back in the winter. I've been very pleasantly surprised by the craft beers Amsterdam is capable of. I was only familiar with their more mass-market efforts, so I was quite surprised by their one-off's.

Unreal. I'm frustrated Volo promoted the hell out of this event. When tickets are very limited and highly sought after, advertising is pointless, and you just attract more bottom feeders. I won't be surprised to see Zwanze Day tickets up on StubHub or similar. There was very little information out ...

More tickets were available at the 30 minute mark. My 2 friends who were originally shut out just each snagged sets. Might want to keep checking.

I'd argue against this. I've brought back Früh and Gaffel fresh from Cologne and done a blind taste test with Beaus. I had Beau's ahead of Gaffel. I'm in Germany next week. I'll no doubt bring more Kolsch and Alt home. You are welcome to stop by and I'll do a blind taste test for you :) The Gaffel ...

Wow, that was like trying to buy Justin Bieber tickets (not that I've ever done that). I had to refresh the whole page to get it to let me register. My colleague who was trying to get tickets was clicking over and over and it went from "not yet available" to "sold out". For those...

I don't know where you found that, but you're a genius Squeaky!
Just was odd that Bar Volo had posted nothing at all on their website or facebook page. I wonder if tickets are still going on sale at noon today?

Lug Tread is nothing like an actual Kolsch. It's way too malty and not nearly vinous/fresh tasting enough. I've been almost 100% consistently disappointed by Beau's. Shocking to compare lug tread to a Kolsch. It's just a boring lager.

Anyone have any updates? I can't imagine they're going on sale tomorrow at noon with no updates at all on Sunday evening.

They're sure taking their time to post a link to the event. It's almost the end of the day Friday, and there's nothing up. I had a great time last time, although for me the actual Zwanze beer was one of my least favorites. For once, the prices of some of the other pours were "reasonable". ...

I don't recall seeing mention of this anywhere here or in the Coming Soon thread (or, strangely enough, on Nickel Brook's FB or Twitter...), but today I came across Nickel Brook's Le Paysan Saison, 750 ml, $8.95. Not yet listed on LCBO/drinkvine, but there were about 12 bottles at Brock St. (Parkda...

I expect this is just the start of the rollout. Even for a very limited release, 40 bottles total is ridiculous. I really hope you're right. I saw that Summerhill got 40 and Pickering got 96. Now it's all in Pickering. I mean it can't be worth importing only 136 bottles, right? At least I hope I'm ...

Anyone else not able to finish the Donker? I try to approach every beer with an open mind but this one was just straight up, one-dimensional sweet, with a syrupy, under-carbonated mouthfeel. Bleh. With the exception of the St. Feuillien, I really didn't like any of these. I couldn't even begin to f...

My wife is down to her last 3 bottles (or as she calls them, "my babies") from the 2 cases of Breakfast Stout we got from the release. I think she might cry when she drinks the last one. Here's a suggestion. One of my favorite road trips was to Grand Rapids last year. In addition to...
