Re: Rodenbach Grand Cru
I’ve fallen in love with some Brett (C/L), and really love a good Gueuze, but I find this one a bit sweet... yet a bit thin at the same time. Even at $4.49 in BC it’s a pretty good price point for some funk.

Re: Megadeth beer!
Exciting news! Our brewmaster Jerry Vietz started bottling "À Tout le Monde" Ale for the first time today and the precious liquid will now be stored in warm room for refermentation. We are getting closer to sharing this new beer with Dave Mustaine and all Unibroue & Megadeth fans wait...

Re: Beer for non-craft drinker guests?
I use to play this game, but I really can't be bothered anymore. If friends and family don't make an effort for me (ie. only stocking shitty macro), I always end up taking over my own beer. Maybe they don't know what to buy, but if I'm always buying my own, I figure they can do the same. The host/gu...

Re: Anyone growing hops?
Mine are about a month ahead... They hit 10' a month ago and the centennial and Chinook have flowers. I grew a Galena in a pot last year though, put it in the ground in the fall, and it just has little shoots. I put it in where a ripped out a lacklustre nugget... Now I'm starting to wonder if that b...

Re: What're you brewing right now?
So that Scotch Ale only placed third in the home brew competition, but after my other third and first finishes, they declared me the brewer of the year! It got quite a bit of press when it was first announced: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/medical-physicist-wins-homebrewing-competit...

Re: Re:
Bold statement, but as long as there are no issues with scaling up, this will potentially be the best brewery in Ontario. For the record, there's a dude getting growlers, filling his own bottles, and handing them out to friends in Toronto. Is this a common thing that I'm just hearing about, or is i...

Re: Ontario Brewing Awards 2016
Sometimes online hype results in overhype, and other good brews get overlooked.
Awards are generally done blindly, by experienced judges. They have value, but excellent brews that fall outside the style categories can be an issue.

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales (a BT member!!) opening in Cambridge
Thanks again for the tour guys!
If your homebrew is any indication of things to come, the local beer geeks are going to love it. I'm looking forward to my next visit (when you have some stuff on tap).

Any recent experience with this stuff?
I'm planning a quad... maybe 15% abbey, with some special B & candi syrup as well.
