I had a Willi IS last night. It's called Limbo, and I liked it a ton.
They also had two West coast IPAs when I ordered last week, which was so nice. I really like that brewery.

Re: Amsterdam Brewery
That's a pretty low price:earnings ratio, isn't it? I wonder how that compares to other brewery sales.

I had a couple of those. They were fine, but didn't really do it for me. To each their own and all that.

I got some 10W30 not that long ago:
I went in with muted expectations but came away very pleased.

Re: Would beers from the past be highly regarded today?
I just happen to have had a Two Hearted in the last month or so, and it's still great. I do wonder if it's been tweaked a little bit though, it didn't quite have the hop bite I remember from many moons ago. That could just be me and my memory, of course. I wonder how it's rep is holding up in the US...

Re: Would beers from the past be highly regarded today?
There are plenty of examples of beers that have been largely unchanged for decades that are still excellent. Heck, many of my favourite beers fall in that category. Rochefort 10 is and always will be outstanding. So anything made back then that stacked up against those things I think you have to con...

I prefer the 2 North from Burlington to the ferry, personally. Fun little drive.
But if you really want scenic, make sure you take the 302 through the white mountains.

Totally! Dab at 2.40 a tallboy is a cottage staple for me.

Re: G&M (paywall): Canada’s crowded craft beer industry is tapped out. What brewers say must happen to stay afloat
I think you've nailed it. I've thought about this a bit and I also think there's a pricing thing at play here. If you want a crazy sour or a hazy fruity IPA in name only, you pretty much have to pay craft prices and seek it out from bars or breweries directly. Traditional styles are (mostly) easier ...

It's hard to believe the downtown Toronto facility is cost effective though. Such a premium chunk of land.

Nice to see some coverage from the Globe, thanks for sharing. People have been warning that the reckoning is coming for the craft scene for a long time now, so I guess I'm not surprised it's finally happening. If anything, it's going a lot slower than I would have thought. It'll be interesting to se...

Re: East Lansing, MI
I dunno, while there certainly are plenty of breweries in industrial areas, most towns of any size in Ontario I can think of include at least a brewery or two downtown.
