Re: Best Ontario pilsners

While I prefer Jever I also found myself drinking Pilsner Urquell more this summer... probably because it's in my local lcbo instead of having to order Jever online. Thanks - don't think I've ever tried (or even heard of) Jever. Looks like that is available at my local LCBO, so I'll also give it a ...

Re: Best Happy Hour Deals in Ontario (Ongoing)

Thanks for the Wasted Youth and Function Bar recommendations! :D I went on Saturday afternoon to Wasted Youth and it seems to be a reasonably good Thirsty & Miserable replacement. (I do miss T&M! ) Function Bar will be a good place to go up at Y&E when I can't drag friends over to ...

Would have loved to attend the ALT vs Kolsch but was in Ireland. I do hope this event gets repeated.

+1

Still remember it from one of the Cask Days when that was still at Bar Volo.

Re: Left Field Brewery

Far easier location to get to for me than their original spot. If the Jays make the playoffs this year I hope their brewpub is up and going by then. Should be a great place to watch a game.

Re: Celebrity Pub Encounters?

Most recent was during a UK trip last August. I was at Cask Pub & Kitchen in London and the YouTube Craft Beer Channel guys were there. They looked like they were wrapping up and had some people bothering them already so I kept to myself. Neat unexpected surprise. :D Six to seven years ago I had...

Re: Boston

I'm heading to Boston for a conference on Sunday so was hoping people might have some recommendations. Conference is in Back Bay, and I won't have a vehicle, so outlying spots like Treehouse are probably out. I have Trillium, Night Shift and Jack's Abby on the list... anywhere else (pub or brewery)...

Yup. Load up the cart with $1500 worth of Pappy and expect a final bill of $0. :-? Rinse and repeat for next time.

Rogue's Hazelnut Brown has been my favourite over the years.

I had the Whitewater one last night. Very nice! I'd buy that again.

Re: Top 5 B.S.

Great Lakes Lager. A case of 24 for $50 is hard to beat, it’s good cold, and fits the lawnmower beer requirement. For non-Ontario, it’s Jever for me - delicious Pilsner that’s relatively cheap. Jever is my go to, almost always in my fridge. I just went with DAB over Jever due to accessibility: I ca...

We've been several times. Nothing really further to add than that Cass has said.

The beer (only some I recall) is also available throughout the Eataly space.
