Belgian malts? Maybe G&P in Fergus, Ont.
Whole hops? That is a tough one.

Go all-grain as soon as you can. A lot cheaper than extract. If you use fresh ingredients, all-grain brews will be just as good or better than any beer you can buy. Buy yourself a turkey fryer and a 10 gallon pot. You can also buy a rubbermaid orange cooler and install a false bottom that the grains...

Most wine making stores sell hydrometers. I broke mine and went to a BOP wine only store and they had lots in stock.

No, I first asked if they had it. She then said she never heard of the beer or the brewery. The rest you know. After that I asked what they had. I always thought that servers hated being asked, " What's on Tap?" I would never order a beer not knowing if they had it. That would be "mea...

No, I looked it over pretty good. Just a wine menu. I wasn't mean at all. I was the last to order in a party of six. I didn't think I was out of line ordering a Wellington beer. Now, if I was hundreds of miles away, that would be different. "intentionally/maliciously confused?". Now I thin...

I didn't harass her. I was very nice. I will never harass a server about this.

It was The Keg. I didn't just go in and order a rare beer or a Belgian beer or something like that. The people we were with all ordered imported liquor and wine and they had it. I just thought that they should have something made only a few km up the road. I only drink Ontario Craft beer and that sh...

Crap Beer In Restaurants

I went to a well known restaurant chain last week in London and ordered a Wellington SPA. Not only not having that beer, she never heard of the Wellington Brewery. I replied that it is just up the road in Guelph. Their beer menu was not good. On the other hand, if you wanted a fancy wine from way ac...

My wife took a bus strip to Erie, Pa. in a bus. A woman declared one bottle of liquor and she had 14. They took it all and fined her on top of that. She should of known better.

The mega-brewers shouldn't raise their prices because of the shortage of hops. They don't use any I have heard.

Hop Shortage in Canada

I keep reading about a real hop shortage in the US. I haven't heard much about a hop shortage in Canada. Anyone hear anything about this here?

That is the one of the reasons I make my own beer. I just can't stand buying beer off of those arrogant, ignorant bastards at the beer store.

Yes, I noticed that too. Way better beer for less. Can't beat that. I need to do some more research on this. Thanks for the replies.

Full. I e-mailed a few breweries and haven't got an answer yet.
From the beer store, quite expensive as I expected. This is after
all, Ontario.
