Oof topic, but I had a Unibroue St. Hubert while staying in Quebec recently... Much better than the food. Possibly, but it would be hard to say the GENERAL food quality is bad in Quebec. Quite the opposite I have found, mon ami. I think he was talking specifically about the food at St. Hubert.

I can't believe I'm going to step into this . . . please take what I say with a grain of salt--I'm certainly no expert. And, I know we could split hairs on stylistic definitions all night. However . . . It seems to me most stouts are characterized by their roasty, coffee-ish flavour, while porters a...

As usual I thought the festival was crap. 2) Criminal lack of available water. Let alone festivals like Buffalo give it away free, to have it only available from several of the food vendors (and at $2 per 500ml bottle) is just obscene. The temperature all three days was over 30 degrees...heat, alco...

Re: Cole's I.P.A Festival- Buffalo
Myself and a couple of friends were down in Buffalo on Saturday for the I.P.A festival at Cole's. The cost was $20 US and for that price we got unlimited beers as well as bratwurst. The ales I enjoyed were Two Hearted Ale from Bell's (Kalmazoo, MI), Big Daddy IPA from San Fransisco, and Three Floyd...

Better Bitters has been in operation since last fall. I tried their stuff in January. They are connected to the Brew-It-Yourself store next door.

Re: Corporal Punishment in bottles?
I am toying with the idea of bottling the Corporal Punishment and putting it into the LCBO system. I would appreciate any feedback you can give me before I make my decision. Cheers! Perry Tell me when and where. I could sure use some more SMIPA too. Last time I checked there were only 10 at the Upp...

Re: Scotch Irish is toying with "Randall the enamel ani
Hi guys, I am toying around with a Dogfish Head style in-line hop infuser for the cask ales at Fort York. I haven't tried it out yet, but it looks good. My quandry is, (if it works) which of my 5 one-off festival beers would benefit from its use. I will have 2 beer engines, but only one will have t...

Re: Planning a trip to Premie...
I'm headed to Buffalo and Rochester this Sunday to pick up some supplies, and it'll be my first true cross-border beer run. I know there's a great specialty store in Rochester, but I'll probably just hit Premier Gourmet. Any recommendations or things to look out for? I was thinking of buying about ...
