Re: Spring Release ???
Jolly Pumpkin Oro is tasting great. A nice bargain at $4.90 per can if you consider this was $12.50 (750 ml) back in 2017. I might have to load up.

Picked it up at Queens Quay LCBO in Toronto. It seems to be around the province.

Re: Best Happy Hour Deals in Ontario (Ongoing)
Wasted Youth Bar on Dundas West (it was previously on Bloor) charges $7 for beer all the time and has interesting beers on tap. It is a decent faux dive bar with a back patio. Wide Open on Spadina/Richmond always has drink deals going on. Beer specials normally just include Amsterdam blonde and ambe...

Logged in just to flag the Allsopp's. Good stuff. Glad you're enjoying it too. Great to see seasonal lists are back!

Creemore Kellerbier is back! I had long since given up on seeing this one again, but it seems like Creemore is bringing back their classic seasonal brews and I am grateful.

Re: What’s in the back of your fridge?
I gave up cellaring few years ago and got through most of my reserves during the pandemic. But I still have a 1x 1500ml and 3x 750s of Abt 12 from 2013 and a Mill St. Barley Wine in ceramic bottle from 2015.

750 ml of Nickel Brook Kentucky Bastard 2016 (re-labelled at 14.5%) — Perhaps it's the strength of this bottling or the annoying wax seal, but I've never cracked this one despite lugging up to the cottage at least once.

Rochefort Triple and the Yeti were both nice surprises. I keep picking up more Trynt Meadow every time I pass by it at LCBO. It's really scratching my itch these days.

Sipping Tynt Meadow right now. This is definitely English, with a bitter hop edge and some chocolate notes bordering on stout territory. Drinks like a dubbel but I can’t think of anything quite like it.

I'm also thirsting for English ales. I picked up a "cask in a box" of Granite 's Best Bitter Special and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, I highly recommend Paniza Brewing's Supernova (English Pale Ale/Strong Bitter). It was on tap at Toronto Fall Beerfest. I am not sure where else to get more...

Fall BeerFest TO
It looks like a semi-normal beer fest is scheduled next month in Toronto. It seems to be all outdoors, vaccine proof required, and masks on except when drinking/eating. They haven't announced breweries ("Approximately 30 brewers from across Ontario", nor entertainment ("Live music lin...

These guys continue to excite an impress. Highlights from the last little while. Kaede - A Still Maple Beer - I had high hopes and this was better than expected. Quite sweet, but I do love maple syrup. The 250 ml bottle is a shareable portion for sure. Irori - Peated Scotch Lager - Great smokey scot...

Finally visited this bottle shop just north of Toronto on Hwy 27 in Vaughan. They have a great selection of Ontario brews as well as some ciders, wine, snacks, etc. I am not sure how they are operating as non-brewery, non-restaurant bottle shop (no food purchase required)—but I ain't complaining. Ex...
