I’m far from a wit beer guy…but something about the St Bernardus Wit sits well with me that I really enjoy it. It’s got a great minerality to it.
Really glad the DuPont is coming back as well, as I’ve been rationing my last couple.

Yes. It’s absolutely fantastic, I need to grab more before it’s gone. The Keller Pils is really good as well. Wasn’t as impressed by the black Pilsner, unfortunately.

Anyone 'member when they brought in some Dogfish Head 60? It was the greatest summer our lives... I sure 'member the price: $12 for six. :o 17 years ago, spring 2006, wow. And then after all that the LCBO rejected it for the General List! :x I find I'm really missing English beer these days. Fuller...

Re: Ontario brewed Tripels...
So I managed to grab the 4-pack that includes tripels from Shacklands, Folly, Brock and Meuse. So far I've tried Shacklands and it's a solid 4/5 from me. Nice phenols, fruitiness, dry; strong but well balanced. I found the malt veered into a caramel/toasty territory, it seemed quite dark, almost du...

Not seeing this on the LCBO website but an interesting Saison available now for $7.05 for a corked 375 ml bottle. Collaboration between Blaugies and Hill Farmstead. Haven't tried it yet but looks promising. https://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/Beer-Ratings.asp?BeerID=201329 I found this at the LCB...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Finally saw a couple of cans and grabbed some. It’s really delicious and a welcome change in style to most of what’s out there right now. Also an absolutely beautiful looking pint.GtownRandy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 10:50 pm The St Andre is only $2.00 for a tall boy???!!!F5BF7326-D21A-44B6-BB26-629D9425F1AE.jpeg

Collective Arts 2020 Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Porter 500 mL, 11.5% alc I' am posting this because, well, it's the purpose of this thread, and this beer is awesome. But also...to show that I can successfully submit a single, unedited post after consuming this. :D And the irony is not lost on me ...

Re: beer (alcohol) and health
We have a good discussion on gout in another thread (thanks Matt for that), but I thought I would start a more general discussion. Consciously, or sub-consciously, I sometimes contemplate how much alcohol I consume, usually convincing myself that all is good. I'm not sure when I first heard of &quo...

Re: Hazelnut beers
Barncat has a hazelnut beer release this weekend: https://barncatales.com/2023/01/18/beer-for-january-20-21-2/ Jackass has a hazelnut Porter right now as well. To be honest I’ve never really had anything that good from Jackass, but it may be worth your while heading to C-bridge and hitting the two ...
