Re: US Beer Releases (premier, consumer, vbm)
Made a run to premier this afternoon even though I wasn't sure there'd be much fresh stuff since we are sort of in a seasonal dead zone for seasonal ipas, but i wanted to grab sixpoint 4 beans that dropped there today. lots of great stuff on the shelf if you're heading there this weekend: - cases an...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
too bad, i was hoping arrogant bastard was going to come in at around $7, since it's $5 USD in WNY. but $9 is a little much, even for the convenience of buying it locally.

this post got me excited that maybe this was happening this weekend as i happen to have to go windsor to visit inlaws, so that would've been a nice coincidence! oh well, still heading over to Michigan to load up on shorts, oddside, and greenbush i hope!

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Nickel Brook knocking it out of the park lately. :D +1 I've been consistently finding very fresh Headstock all over Toronto since May. It's very hard to turn down. yep, great replacement level IPA. with the US dollar where it is and the days old availability of this i've been buying more and more o...

Re: LCBO Autumn & Halloween/Oktoberfest Beer Releases 2015
This is pretty uninspiring especially after just coming back from a trip out west and enjoying everything BC and Alberta have to offer. I've yet to be impressed with any of the beers they've been bringing in from Denmark. I wish they'd stop take a break from those breweries. yeah, amager is terribl...

Re: Looking for Anchorage beers
Not sure if you're looking for the more limited stuff or where you are located, but premier gourmet in amherst, NY usually has 1-2 bottles on the shelf of their standard offerings. i believe "galaxy" and "tide and it's takers" last time i was there. I've been there about 5 times...

Re: New non-LCBO/TBS beer releases
Really cool to see Bellwood's is listening to bottle release feedback and addressing it head on with this release. They are correct that you can't make everyone happy, but lowering the limit to 4 on a 2000 bottle release seems like the perfect amount to me to get this release to last more than a day...

Re: 3 minutes to midnight
Access isn't limited by the timing of the release, it's limited by their bottle limits. If they had limited this to 1-2 bottles per I guarantee this lasts the weekend or at least until late Saturday giving a wider group of people a chance to make it out there. Many of the indemand brewers in the sta...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I'm checking everyday for the Orval. As to Oast House pricing, I think their location in wine country is the cause of their pricing. If you have been driving around buying $20 bottles of wine, then $8 bombers may not seem expensive. I found Silversmith to be similar in pricing. Also, I think they a...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Hey don't get me wrong, I love bellwoods, i only used them because of the ire that the price of princess wears girl pants is getting while the similarly priced bellwoods gets a pass (refering to their ipas). regardless of how people personally feel about the quality of either breweries beers, i seri...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
So stop blaming the breweries for what you consider to be laughable pricing, etc., OCB-haters. They're only responding to what their sole viable distributor insists on. I think you're correct in some ways, but pricing in Ontario is terrible all around. Breweries like oast house and Bellwoods that o...
